She's Almost Here!!

This weekend is the Fourth of July, and Jason's family was going to the cabin for the festivities that ensue in Mt. Pleasant. With us being 3 weeks away from our due date we were a little hesitant of getting very far from the hospital. But with Jason having Friday off for the holiday, Thursday night we decided we would spend 2 nights at the cabin and then come back to town to BBQ with Alannah's family Saturday afternoon. So yesterday we packed up and headed to the cabin! We were just getting settled in and watching a movie until the rest of the family arrived, when Alannah started having really strong contractions like never before. Our doctor took us of medication that was controlling her Braxton-Hicks on Friday the 26th of June, and told us when she decides to come, we'll let her. So needless to say these new, never before experienced contractions were quite a surprise. So Jason packed everything back up into the car, along with Alannah and we headed to town. We passed Lance, Heidi and Maggie as they were coming into the Association Property, and minutes later Kenna, Sand, and Grandma Farnworth on the highway.
We arrived at the hospital around 9:00 p.m. only to find out Alannah was dilated to 1.5cm which was the same on Monday at our baby doc appointment. So they said they would observe us for an hour and check again. Our doctor, Dr. Anderson happened to be at the hospital with another delivery, and stopped by to check in. He checked Alannah again to find we were dilated to 2cm. He informed us if in another couple of hours if we had progressed, he was admitting us. Sure enough around 1:00 a.m. they admitted us, and started Alannah's epidural and Oxytocin drip to help with dilation.
After little to no sleep, Alannah was checked this morning at 5:00 a.m. with no progress. Around 8:00 a.m. Dr. Anderson stopped by again and found Alannah to be 3cm, and decided it was time to break her water!!! So now we are patiently waiting, and are expecting to have our little girl today!! Stay tuned and Jason will post again and hopefully have some pictures up! Take care!

Let's Catch Up!

Hello Everyone! It has been awhile since our last blog, and a lot has happened. First, we finished moving in to our new home in Springville. Echo's family came out from Wisconsin and stayed with us for a little over a week. While here they blessed Audrey, and spent long needed time with our family. Audrey is an adorable girl with wild hair and her Uncle Jason is smitten with her. Nolan is getting bigger and bigger by the day, and is learning more and more by the minute. He is a very smart little guy and very inquisitive, always asking "What's that?" We were very happy to have them. Echo was a godsend. Since Alannah had to quit her job and go on modified bed rest, Echo was a great help around the house. I don't know how she does it. It's har enough taking care of a baby, but a toddler, a husband, a brother and an expectant mother! WOW! We appreciated everything she did for us and miss them very much.

Our little miss personality, Maggie, is doing very well. We're told the nights are getting easier, and we have begun to see her eyes more and more. The first couple of weeks, she was quite the tease with her little eyes. It could be that she realizes how strange our family is or she is just a flirt. But occasionally she would peak through her eyelids to see if it was safe to come out, then quickly close them when she realized the craziness of all of us. She is a little bundle of personality. We recomend taking a look over to Lance and Heidi's blog to see all of the great and funny pictures of Maggie.
